Orientering

This document describes the typical construction of a pipe penetration through a sheeting wall. The method is applicable for both uninsulated and insulated pipelines. For insulated pipelines the value of D includes pipe insulation.
The principal difference between this edition and previous editions is that the penetration has been supplemented with a sealing strip to prevent entry of water.
Penetrations for several pipes are made in the same general manner, subject to the necessary adjustments in the wall and cover sheets for the pipes concerned.
In pipelines subject to large thermal changes, wall penetrations may have to be specially designed.
